Life Support...
So I may have pneumonia. Since I have been sick for 9 days I went to the doctor again today and he thinks that I might have a case. I didn't feel like going to get a chest x-ray so I'm just filling up on every type of med. I did start my day with a sugar free red bull which caused me to go on a bit of a cleaning frenzy. Five trash bags later I crashed. I watched a little bit of my favorite show, napped, and read the best book in the world. I hope that I start feeling better soon. It really sucks when you can't breathe.

Lady of Style: Bleubird Vintage
Today's style icon is the gorgeous Miss James from over at "Bleubird Vintage" blog. Besides being my vintage soul-mate, James owns her own retro clothing store and is a busy mom of three. She always comes up with great projects, looks, and playlists. I'm super jealous of her ability to pair old with new and she always seems to get the best thrift store finds. Purging...
My closet desperately needed to be cleaned. Well, it always does. But yesterday I decided to go through all of my clothes and get rid of what I didn't need. There were so many things that I hadn't worn in years that I was just keeping out of sentimental value. It was time for it all to go. I want to build a closet of pieces that I love. I want to open that door and be blinded by all the colors and patterns inside. Step 1: Get rid of old stuff that doesn't fit. Now I have piles all over my floor of things to give away, throw away, and put away. Not to mention the black hole of hangers in the middle of my room.

Open Mic...
Friday night I took part in an open mic night in order to raise money for Love 146. I have to admit that I was a little nervous because we hadn't practiced that much and my I had been sick and losing my voice all week. But I wasn't going to back out. Once you hear about this cause and watch some of the videos for it your heart just breaks. It's such a horrible thing that happens all around us, even in our back yards. I also realized that in the end it didn't matter how my voice sounded because the glory wasn't going to me but it was going to God. I wasn't singing because I wanted people to notice me. I was singing because I care about the cause and I wanted to put the focus on God. It was such a blessing and I am so happy that I sang.

What The Doctor Ordered...
Just what I need for a sore throat: a banana milkshake from Chik-fil-a. I have been stocking up on teas, meds, and cough drops this entire week and my throat is still killing me. If there's one thing I hate it's a sore throat and this one just won't go away. I don't know what to do! I just hope it gets better so I can sing tomorrow night.Peace and Love,
