One of Those Weeks...

It has just been one of those weeks where: 

- I completely failed at blogging. I started my "10 Things" post for Sunday and didn't even finish it, my brain was void of blogging ideas, and I just didn't feel motivated to post anything. I know every blogger has weeks like this but I was disappointed in my lack of presence here on the blog. 

- I set out to deep-clean my room last Sunday and it has gone untouched. Bags, boxes, and clothes are everywhere. 

- My sleeping has been off. I wake up at all hours of the night and can't fall back asleep so I end up watching numerous episodes of Grey's Anatomy and The Wire. This means that this week has been full of afternoon naps.  

- I spent way too much time at the Apple store, but three trips later my phone is finally fixed. 

But instead of dwelling on these negative things I will look on the bright side: I have made lots of progress in the book I am currently reading, I bought a few new items for my Fall wardrobe, and I've spent lots of time with great girlfriends.

Spring, Sugar, Sleep...

I just thought I'd drop a note and share a few little things that are going on in my life this week. First, I am working on curbing my sweet tooth. I had been doing so well and then the week of Easter I just kind of gave in. Don't get me wrong, I love my sugar, but I just need to hold off for a while ha ha :) I did pick up some strawberry Pocky when I was at Target a few days ago. I have never had it before but I have heard people rave about it and I can't wait to give it a try! (Plus, I think the packaging is super cute). Next, reading and cat naps are the perfect combination. One of my favorite things about when it gets warmer is the fact that I can open my windows, let the sun in, grab a book, and gently doze off. By the way the book I am currently reading, Fire and Rain, is rad! If you love music from the 70s, the Beatles, or James Taylor this book is a must. Finally, how much do you love all the flowers that have been popping up lately? Our lilac bush is just starting to bloom and the scent is heavenly. Enough of my ranting, what are you up to this week?

Is It Fall Yet?...

Even though the stores are stocked with Halloween candy and a few pumpkins are out it really hasn't started to feel like Fall around here. For the past week we've had temperatures in the high 70s and 80s and I've been walking around in tank tops and shorts. I mean, it's October! I am ready for coats and scarves and crisp breezes. I did wander outside this weekend and saw that some of our trees were starting to change color so that is a good sign. In the meantime I am trying to squeeze in Autumnal things when I can: today I had my second Pumpkin Spice latte of the season, we've watched Sleepy Hollow, and there are little clusters of pumpkins around the house.

Still Here...

Yes, I am still here. I've found that ever since school started back up it has been so much harder to blog every day. My classes are pretty heavy, I am working two jobs, and I just took on a Fall internship. It's a little crazy and I am just trying to balance it all. I hate that I haven't been able to blog as much because it really is something that I enjoy and I love being able to connect with all of my friends out in the blog world! I am going to try and make a bigger effort to plan ahead and have more frequent blog posts up. So, sorry for my absence; thanks for sticking with me. New blogs will start back up tomorrow.

Okay, so I know that I haven't been doing a ton of regular posts lately. And yes, many of the ones I have done haven't been super creative. Lately I have had so much school work and I just frankly haven't made the time to work on the blog. But in a week or so I will be all finished with this semester of school and plan on working on some cool posts :) Here are just a few little shots of things that have been going on lately. I finally ordered Justin Timberlake's album on vinyl! It is just such a great record and so fun for Summer!! Give me that, some fresh fruit, and a little time with the pup and I am good to go.

August 14...

 I like Tuesdays in the Summer because they are one of my free days. I normally spend lots of time reading or watch a movie. Whatever I do, it's nice to know that I have the whole day to spend as I please. Today I woke up and, as usual, the first thing on my mind was coffee. After breakfast I made a Goodwill run but unfortunately came home empty handed. I also ordered some stuff for my future pad, caught up on Wilfred, and picked up my school supplies. I think that I'm going to top my day off with some quiet reading time. Hope everyone else had a beautiful Tuesday!

Today...
