A Summer Evening in Fell's Point...

I live about 20 minutes outside of both Baltimore and Washington DC and I don't take advantage of it like I should. Lately I've become more adventurous and am trying to make more of an effort to explore the cities around me. A few weeks ago I went with my friend, Haylee, to Fell's Point for dinner. If you are ever in the Baltimore area you need to visit Fell's Point- it's one of my favorite parts of the city. It contains high-end shops and some of my favorites (Anthropologie anyone?) and a great selection of restaurants. Haylee and I enjoyed dinner at Sofie's crepes. I've never actually had a real crepe before and these were delicious. After a little window shopping we headed down to one of my favorite places to get gelato- Pitango. This place makes some of the best gelato and has some of the most delicious flavors you could dream of. I ended up mixing a scoop of the mojito gelato with a scoop of the dark chocolate and it was absolutely divine. We ended the night with a walk down around the docks. These little summer adventures are going to be missed...

Family...

Yesterday was the memorial service for my uncle Doug. It was nice to have all the family together for that. After the service we all went to my cousin's bar in Canton, but it got so crowded that my cousin, Maddie, mom and I went across the street the the Firehouse Coffee Cafe. We sipped chai lattes and ate turkey-apple sandwiches and listened to music. It was a nice time. I was so happy that I got to see my uncle Greg and family from TN. I miss them a whole lot.

Abbey's Burger Bistro...

Abbey's Burger Bistro was one of the things on my summer list. I had first heard about it because of their famous "Berger" cookie milkshake. Yesterday, Sarah and I drove into Baltimore to try their burgers and shakes. It's a neat little hole in the wall joint in Federal Hill with all brick walls and it's own charm. The food was DELICIOUS! Sarah and I had "The Baltimore Burger" which is covered in crab dip and bacon. I am drooling just thinking about it. Peace and Love,

It's That Time Again...

The crack of the bat. The smell of the ballpark. The gentle croon of the commentators announcing the game. The home runs. The stolen bases. The wins. The loses. It's all here again. I'm so thrilled!

Peace and Love,

B'more...

Sunday Sarah and I had a little adventure and with the help of my dad we drove to Baltimore. I had told Sarah about the Book Thing before and she wanted to check it out. You can't go into it thinking that this place is going to be amazing. It's literally a little warehouse crammed with books. There's hardly any organization and there's no guarantee that they'll have what you are looking for. But there's something to a place that gives away books for free. It has a certain hidden charm to it. And I walked away with some good stuff. Here are some pictures from around Baltimore on Sunday! Peace and Love,

Senior Soiree 2011...

Yesterday was wonderful! We went to a great restaurant in Baltimore and then to the Hippodrome to see Les Miserables which was fantastic! It was sad to me to think that this was probably one of the last times that all of us will be together. But it was great! I loved it and will never forget it!
Peace and Love,
