Party of 3...

Tuesday night was filled with cake, streamers, friends, and lots of laughs. My good friend Rafi is getting ready to leave for Japan next week and I wanted to give him one last Hoorah before he left. It was a great excuse to get all dressed up and throw a party. Rafi has been such a good friend to me and he can always make me laugh. I will miss him so much but I know that he will love his knew life in Japan.

Now I Can Get a Tattoo Without Parental Consent...

Today was my 18th Birthday and this is what I woke up to:
What more could a girl ask for?

Suzannie took my sister and I out to lunch to celebrate! How lovely! We went to our usual dive, The Metro Diner, and had such a fun time.
We ran into Target after and look at who I ran into: Ahhh....Mr. White.........

We spent half of the day with Suzannie and then we took off with the family to downtown Baltimore for dinner. We ate at the Hard Rock Cafe.

And don't forget that I participated in the one day without shoes today, and although it might be gross this is what my feet looked like at the end of the day:Today at lunch a little girl and her mom sat across from us outside. The little girl had taken off her shoes and the waiter came up to her and said "Hey, is everything alright? Why are your shoes off?" To which her mother replied "She saw that young lady (me) with her shoes off and she wanted to take hers off too." See you can make a difference, one small little step at a time. It was painful going without shoes at times but it was worth it to me.

Anyway. once we got home it was time for cake!
I ended the night with watching my Orioles beat the Rays! LET'S GO O'S!!!Oh, and this guy(Luke Scott) just made it so much better :)

I'll be sure to do a post later about what I got and all that good stuff. For now I just want to thank everyone who celebrated with me today! I had a lot of fun! And thanks also to everyone for the wishes and calls! Everyone was so sweet and it meant a lot to me! All my love.

Love,
Em

8 Days a Week is What it Feels Like...

This week has seemed so long and it's only Wednesday. Blah! Yesterday was pretty good considering that dinner was delicious! We had the chicken and biscuits that I have talked about with stuffing and our own private concert with Ella.

Mom made coconut cake with vanilla pudding and raspberries which was so good (even though I didn't eat that much of it I still loved it).I also ordered my clutch for soiree last night (which I can't believe is in a week) and it's PURPLE!!

Today was just one of those days. Classes dragged on and I couldn't wait to leave school. Maybe it has something to do with all the assignments and speeches they are giving us? Hmmm...
We ran to Home Goods after and I snagged these to cookbooks which I adore!!

I'm not the biggest Martha Stewart fan but man does she know how to bake!

I have caught spring fever so today I did my homework with the blinds up and my window open :) So nice.

Now I think I am going to finish an imitation assignment and then read some of this:
I decided to take a break before I start the next Jane Austen book and this was on the top of my list. It's really different than any other book I have read but it's appealing in that way.

Hope the rest of the week doesn't go too slow!

Love,
Emma

Strawberry Cake Sunday...

We are still snowed in! While eneryone was out today shoveling snow (I couldn't help much because my back is killing me) I made a strawberry cake. I think it's one of my favorite flavors and I love the color of it! I basically lived off this cake when I had my wisdom teeth removed :) It was fun to do some baking (even though most of it came in a box).

I hope everyone enjoys their Sunday night!

Peace and Love,

Em
