The first full day of our road trip was spent in Connecticut. We walked around Groton, ate at diners, saw some of the prettiest little houses, saw some history, went to downtown Mystic, and enjoyed cherries and strawberry ice smoothies.

The first night that we got to Connecticut we took a walk up to Avery Point. It was the perfect place to start off our stay in New England. The air was cool, the sky was unbelievable, and the view was amazing. I could have stayed there for hours just sitting and watching.
