Dress Party...

Last night all of the Junior and Senior girls from school got together to have a little New York style party. We brought our dresses for soiree so we could get them approved and then we sat around, talked, and listened to some Frank Sinatra. It was a good time with great food and great drinks! We are thinking about making it a monthly affair.

Weekend Update...

This weekend I spent Saturday with friends. Heather and I met for lunch where we had amazing Caesar salads!!
Then we went to do some shopping. I found this glam sequin dress but I wasn't willing to pay the $100 for it. Was that a mistake?
Heather found a lot of things she liked. We probably spent 20 minutes trying to decide what sweater she should get.
Then we headed to Goodwill. I was hoping to find as many treasures as I did last time but I came away empty handed. I did find out that our Goodwill has a pretty decent supply of used books and a lot of them are in good condition.

Heather and I jammed to Sweet Thing the whole car ride home. I have a video to prove it (which I will post later.)

Then we headed to a friend's birthday party in downtown Annapolis. It was really fun. After the party I helped Suzanne take our friend Betty home. It wasn't exactly smooth sailing seeing as we got lost in Bowie for about 10 minutes. Suzanne and I ended the night with soft serve Ice Creams from Micky D's. It was a pretty wonderful ending to an incredibly busy and fun day.

Who Doesn't Love Presents...

So I figure that since I have been going on about my birthday for two posts I might as well post what my gifts were :) A lot of things were stuff that I needed for my trip to Greece and Italy this summer, which I was very thankful for because I have a lot that I need for this shindig.

First is my BIG present, which was a flip video camera that I designed to match my camera strap.

It's so tiny and will be perfect for the trip! (I still don't know how to use it though).

Next is a blanket for the plane ride! You know how much I love monkeys and it matched my backpack.
I also got a pair of awesome shoes!
And I got a couple of tops that will go perfectly with some skirts that I have!
And my mom got me this beautiful blue journal :)
I grabbed these at the Hard Rock Cafe:My sister got me this purse for the trip! I LOVE it. It zips and I can wear it on my shoulder or it can be hand-held which will be wonderful.
My friend Kristen got me this amazing bag and dress!! Love them both!
Suzannie got me this really cool Alice in Wonderland shirt!
My friend Krista got me this book which I am very excited to read!
The blazer I am wearing at my party was a gift from Sarah.
And that about sums it up, minus a few gift cards here and there. I love everything...ugh but I hate Mondays.

Hope everyone's day was a little better than mine.

Love,
Em

Yesterday, Doesn't Seem So Far Away.....

I started off my morning with one of these! So yummy and colorful!
After a few texts and phone calls I jumped in the shower to get ready to go out with some friends :) After changing our plans about four times we finally settled on going to the mall.

Our first stop was Macy's. We were trying to help Betty find a dress for soiree. I was not really looking for myself but I did see this dress and thought it was fun :)
Unfortunately it was a size three and there was no way I was going to attempt and put it on.

Suzannie found herself this dress which was really cute:

She got it for soiree but I think it would make a great garden party or Easter dress :)

We then met up with our friends Meredith and Kayla. And let me tell you it was time for coffee!
So we shot over to Starbucks!
Suzannie and Betty while we were waiting for our coffee.

Vanilla Latte in hand and with a little love note from our table we were ready to keep shopping.
We checked out some other stores from which all of us left empty handed.

Then I went with Meredith and Kayla to a vintage clothing store. We spent way too much time there and ended up in a major time crunch. The girls needed to get to play rehearsal in Brooklyn for opening night and they had less than an hour and a half! Luckily things worked out and they even made it to practice early!

After a 4:30 pm lunch and dinner almost an hour later we hopped in the car to go to opening night of Oklahoma!

I was so impressed with everyone in the production! I was so amazed at how talented all of my friends are! The play was amazing. I am so proud of everyone and all the hard work has definitely paid off. I hope the next three shows are as great as the first.

After hanging out with the cast for a while and praising them all for their amazing talents it was time to go home. I was exhausted.

I went upstairs to change into my pj's but I ended up laying on the floor thinking for a few minutes. I had received a message from my uncle that brought me to tears during the intermission. I had a lot on my mind..
So that's what I did yesterday. haha hope you all have a great Friday and a great start to your weekend :)

Love,
Em
