Happy Easter...

"The angel said to the women, 'Do not be afraid, for I know that you are looking for Jesus, who was crucified. He is not here; he has risen, just as he said. Come and see the place where he lay.' "
- Matthew 28: 5-6

Wishing you a very happy Easter! He is Risen!!

Peace and Love,

He Is Risen...

I cannot express how much God's love and grace mean to me. He never ceases to amaze me, but on this day in particular I stand in awe of His power and love. I hope that you all have a wonderful Easter and spend the day rejoicing in the fact that He is RISEN.

Peace and Love,
Em

Happy Easter 2011...

I hope that everyone had a very happy Easter. I know that I did! We just had a nice day at home spending time together, watching movies, and eating way too much! As usual, my mom did an amazing job with our Easter baskets. Yes, I am 19 and I still get an Easter basket but I love that I do. It's like a little bucket of happy. I love that my mom still does all the little things even though I am still growing up. I hope that I will still be getting an Easter basket when I am 35. We watched "Easter Parade" with two of my favorites, Judy Garland and Fred Astaire, and it did not disappoint. I have been wanting to see it for a really long time but just haven't gotten to putting it into the netflix queue. It's was the most perfect little movie. I'm definitely buying it. Then we spent the rest of the day watching the baseball game and eating and cooking and then eating some more :) Peace and Love,

Em

10 Things I LOVE...

1. Strawberry Frosting. 2. Rainbow stairs. 3. Fleet Foxes latest single. 4. Vinyl wedding invitations (adore these!). 5. Colorful flowers for the kitchen. 6. Knit covered trailer. 7. Homemade Easter candy. 8. Miss James' Jessica Simpson platforms. 9. This dreamy house. 10. Vanessa Hudgens' Coachella look.
Hope everyone has a very Happy Easter! One thing that I've learned this year is that Easter is not the only day to think about Christ's sacrifice on the cross. It's something that we should think about every single day. So although Easter is a great holiday, we should carry the meaning of Easter with us every day.

Peace and Love,

Easter Sunday...

Today was such a beautiful day. The first thing I thought about when I woke up was that today Christ arose from the grave and conquered death. It is such a wonderful feeling to wake up to.
Right when we woke up it was time for our Easter baskets.
I loved everything I got! My basket included: The Blind Side, Lucky Brand earrings, a purple flower sweater with diamond buttons, some underwear (polka dotted of course), a candle votive, and some really cute hair pins! Oh, and their was a lot of chocolate of course!!!Then it was time to dye eggs!!

And then it was time to eat the delicious meal that my mom made for us!! The table was set so pretty!
Following our amazing dinner I did one of my favorite things...made cupcakes!
I took a lot of pictures of them but hey, I was pretty proud of 'em.
Bands I listened to while baking: Rilo Kiley and Sweet Thing.

I hope everyone had a very blessed Easter.

Love,
Em
