Current Beauty Staples...

These days I am always looking for ways to achieve a natural look while still having a little fun with my makeup. While most days I try to keep it simple I also frequently get the urge to rock a cat eye or wear a bright lip. Recently I have stumbled upon a few products that I am just loving and I thought I'd share!

The majority of my new favorite products are by Benefit. I've always loved Benefit- they're packaging is super cute- but the only thing I've ever purchased is their perfume (it's my favorite!). While in Nashville my cousin gave me a few samples to try and I feel head over heels for them.

First up is the Sugarbomb Ultra Plush Lipgloss. This lipgloss has the perfect amount of shimmer and is a beautiful nudey-pink color. I'll wear it all by itself or on top of a lipstick and it always looks perfect!

Lately I've been obsessed with trying different mascaras. I'm not one to wear false lashes so I'm always on the hunt for a mascara that will provide me with the best volume and length. Benefit's They're Real Mascara is seriously one of the best mascaras I have ever tried!

Next, is Benefit's The POREfessional. This pro balm acts as the perfect primer and it minimizes the look of pores. I have never been one to use primer in the past but a few of my girlfriends were raving about it so I just had to try. My skin feels so smooth after using this and I can definitely tell a difference in the appearance of my foundation. Along the same lines is the Boi-ing Concealer. I have always struggled with dark circles under my eyes and blemishes. This concealer is by far my favorite of any that I have tried. It is so smooth and glides on while lasting all day long and covering up all types of imperfections. I also love that it looks so natural and you can't even tell that you have makeup on!

Finally, I have to mention my favorite lipstick! I have to say that I'm a sucker for lipsticks and lipglosses. If I am at the store and see something I like, I buy it, even if I have more than enough at home. However, there is one lipstick that is my tried and true and that I use all the time. It's Snob by MAC and it's the perfect balance between a natural color and a pop of pink. Like I said, I tend to keep my makeup pretty simple these days, so a pretty pop of color goes a long way!

What are some of your favorite beauty products? What's the one beauty item you can't leave home without- I'd love to hear!

Em

My Beauty Wishlist...

I'm no beauty guru, but boy do I love makeup! Most days I just wear the essentials: foundation, mascara, blush. Still, it's always nice to have a few fun and daring things in your makeup drawer. Lately I've been watching a lot of beauty vlogs and reading blogs to hear what some of my favorite ladies love to use. I have a few things on my list that I'm just dying to get and I thought that I would share them with you :)

What are your beauty must-haves?! I would love to hear!

Current Beauty Essentials...

So this is definitely not all of the makeup that I use everyday but these three have been my beauty staples for the past couple of months. I love trying different looks for different seasons and I've found some things that I'm really loving for Fall/Winter.

1. Maybelline Master Duo Liquid Liner- I would be lying if I said I wasn't a sucker for a good cat eye. I typically don't wear a lot of eye makeup because, honestly, I don't have time to put it on in the morning. Recently I have just been going with a primer and a little mascara. But when I have time for getting all dolled up this liner is a must! I've tried pencil liners & other liquid liners before and nothing has worked as well as the Master Duo. It is so easy to apply and goes on so smoothly! Definitely a winner!

2. Lollia Perfume- The only perfume that I have been using for the past few months or so is Lollia. Their scents are so dreamy and smell so good but are not overwhelming. This mini is the scent Imagine but I have mostly been wearing Wish. The mini guys are perfect for on-the-go and travel!

3. Flower Beauty Kiss Stick Velvet Lip Color in Dahlia Darling- If I didn't already love Drew Barrymore enough she got me with her makeup line. Her lipsticks in particular are killer! I've always been a fan of a red lip but was a little worried about trying it for myself, especially since I have such pale skin. However, Drew had said that this red was perfect for those with fairer skin and I decided to give it a shot. I can't get enough of this lipstick and this shade! It's not a bright organge-y but more of a berry, which I love. It has a matte finish so it lasts for hours but it doesn't dry out your lips. I've bought this lipstick in a few other shades and still love it just as much <3 nbsp="" p="">

Fall Cosmetic Must Haves...

When it comes to the cold time of year there I certain things that I have to have in my makeup bag. Today I thought that I would share with you 4 cosmetics that are essential for Fall.

1. Bobbie Brown Hydrating Moisturizer. I have always had oily skin, so when I take care of my face in the Fall and Winter it tends to get really dry. I mean SUPER dry! So dry that it hurts to move my face sometimes. I have tried drug store moisturizers and other brand names but nothing has worked as good as Bobbi Brown. This moisturizer soothes instantly and my dry skin goes away after just a few applications. Plus it smells really good!!
2. Nars eyeliner in Black Moon. Typically I don't wear a lot of eyeliner but for some reason I like to add it to my look for Fall. Nars makes my favorite eyeliner and I love this color because it gives the eye a smokey look.
3. Handcreme by Lollia. Along with the cold months come dry hands. I love the handcreme from Lollia because is a thicker substance so it heals your hands right away. Also it comes in mini sizes which are great to throw in your purse and there are different pretty scents to choose from!
4. Vaseline Lip Therapy. I have the worst luck when it comes to chapped lips. I've tried a lot of different chopsticks but I think this is the best by far! It works almost instantly. I put it on before bed and when I wake up my lips feel brand new. There's also different flavors to choose from!

Dior...

Yesterday was totally a girls day. My mom, Maddie, and I were treated to facials and make-overs by Dior cosmetics. It was so much fun! I didn't want the facial to end and I always love letting other people do my makeup.

Junior Soiree Part 1...

My day started out with hair at 8:30. As usual Bobbie did a fantastic job and got me done in one appointment so I didn't have to wait around. She never disappoints and I love my new bangs!

So here's a little bit of the cut (she didn't style it but you get the idea):
And this is how she styled it for soiree! I brought the flower (it was the same color as all my other accessories):
It was way to early for me to be up on a Saturday morning so after my hair was done it was time for a coffee break!I got the usual, which is a dark chocolate turtle mocha, and it was delicious as always :)

Then after we had about an hour to breath it was time to head over to Smashbox to get my makeup done.
The girl who did my makeup was so sweet and helpful, and she did a fabulous job! I ended up buying a butt-load of Smashbox makeup. Thanks Spencer and Sarah!

Then I rushed home and finished getting all dolled up. Before I could go we had to take some glamor shots!
Then it was time to head off to the cocktail reception...

Stay tuned for more...

Love,
Em
