Nothing But Rain...

We are all a little disappointed over here. First we were told that we would be getting 5-6 inches of snow and then it was 2-4. We ended up getting nothing. NOTHING! A little flurry would come down every once and a while- it was still dreamy. However, we did get a TON of rain. It's still pouring. Most places were closed today so I have been able to enjoy doing lots of reading and snuggling with the pup. It has just been a nice, cozy day at home and I have loved every minute of it!

First Snow This Winter...

Sorry I have been MIA lately, you know how it is with the holidays. I have been enjoying time with my family and am trying to take in the Christmas season. On Wednesday we got a magical surprise of snow. It was fun to wake up the day after Christmas and find the world dusted in a layer of white. We also had some snow here yesterday. The flakes were SO big and beautiful. I hope this isn't the last of our snow for this season. I'm still praying for a big downfall.

Bundled...

I don't know about you, but I love the cold weather. You know why? Because it means that I get to wear layers! I love sweaters, scarves, tights, boots, and jackets and this is the perfect time of year to throw on some of your favorite pieces and bundle up. Hope everyone is staying warm!

All Is White...

Today is the perfect day to cuddle up with a big cup of cocoa and a good movie or book (I've been reading Emma all day). It's so cold outside and everything's with wet or covered in snow. We spent a while shoveling the driveway and now it's time for me to relax and enjoy the rest of my day. But I have to say it one more time...I LOVE SNOW! Peace and Love,

Snow Day...

To my suprise I woke up this morning to learn that school was cancelled. We had a lot of ice falling throughout the night and this morning so the roads were really slick and freezing rain continued throughout the day. So here are some pictures from my day. Christmas In Connecticut...

One of my favorite Christmas movies as of this year is Christmas In Connecticut. I love the big vintage Christmas tree, the farmhouse, and of course all of Barbara Stanwyck's clothes. Here are some pictures of my favorite moments, outfits, and settings, that make me miss Christmas all the more.

What We Did On Christmas Eve...

This Christmas Eve we traveled to my grandparents house in Virginia. Christmas tunes blasting on the radio all the way there, a stop at our favorite country pie store, and gazing out the windows at all the farmhouses decorated for Christmas made for a lovely drive there.

We spent the day talking, eating, opening gifts, eating, playing games, oh and eating. It was a fun time. I was lucky enough to score a gps and some super cute plum gloves. It was good to spend time and talk with my grandparents. I adore their vintage Christmas tree!
