A Little Chai...

Today I was able to go on a lovely coffee date with my friend Sarah. We went to Starbucks, I ordered a chai latte, and we sat there for a few hours talking. Little outings like this are very important to me. I think it's vital to make a little time for yourself and your friends during the week just to catch up and pour your hearts out.  

I hope that everyone has a beautiful Friday night. Mine involves pancakes and journaling :)

Little Bits...

 

 

 

Today is my one real day off this week- I'm not counting Tuesday because I was still pretty sick and didn't get anything done. My morning started off with business calls and conversations for DClife. It looks like a lot of new things will be happening with the magazine and there is a lot to do. I will keep you posted on that. I followed that up with a cup of OJ and a muffin while enjoying some snuggle time on the couch with the pup. After that, more phone calls. I'm hoping that the rest of the day will be spent in sweats with my mom and sister, snuggling, reading, and painting my nails. I really want to rest up for the remainder of the day so I can kick this flu out the door and be back and healthy. Did I mention that I have been eating a ton of Cheese Its lately?! It's still really hard for me to keep food down and when I do eat it's not much. This salty little guys are the only things that can seem to settle my stomach. 

I hope you all have a blessed Thursday. It's almost the weekend!!!

Just Like That...

 

I can't believe the holidays are over!?! I can't believe it's 2013!?! Christmas always seems to go by to fast & it's my favorite holiday. You spend so much time building up to it and then it's gone. I REALLY did enjoy the holidays this year though. I got to see my family in VA for Christmas and then my family from TN was here for New Year's Eve. Now the house has been stricken with sickness and 3/4 of us are down for the count. Because of that things might still be slow here for the next couple of days, but I did want to take the time and share a few holiday pictures.

Peace Out...

2012 has had it's moments. For me personally there have been good times and bad; a lot of inner struggles. I hope to start a new chapter in my life in 2013. If all goes at planned it'll be my last year living here at home and I really hope to make the most of it. Here's to new beginnings and new adventures. Peace out 2012. Welcome 2013.

First Snow This Winter...

Sorry I have been MIA lately, you know how it is with the holidays. I have been enjoying time with my family and am trying to take in the Christmas season. On Wednesday we got a magical surprise of snow. It was fun to wake up the day after Christmas and find the world dusted in a layer of white. We also had some snow here yesterday. The flakes were SO big and beautiful. I hope this isn't the last of our snow for this season. I'm still praying for a big downfall.
