Happy Halloween...

I hope that everyone had a fantastic Halloween filled with your favorite candy and a little mischief. I enjoyed my day by drinking coffee in the afternoon and watching "Sleepy Hollow" (the Johnny Depp version, of course!). I didn't dress up this year but I loved seeing all of my friends costumes on instagram!

White & Orange Pumpkins...

 

My sister and I finished our first set of painted pumpkins for the year. We both wanted to do a pattern in white white orange showing (hers is the chevron, mine is the stripes.) I know the lines could have been cleaner on mine, I think there were some areas where the tape wasn't pressed down enough and the paint seeped through, but I thought they turned out pretty well considering it was our first time trying this method. I actually really love how they came out! We have a few more pumpkins that we are working on. I'll post more soon :)

Happy Halloween 2011...

I'm planning on spending my Halloween inside with a slice of pumpkin pie and a stack of movies, possibly a fire. Everyone stay safe!

It's November...

Last Night Maddie came home from Trick-or-Treating with a bag FULL of candy. I was able to snag a few of my favorites. I spent the evening at home with a couple of my closest friends. We made pumpkin cookies, flipped around to a bunch of different tv shows (bridezillas, jerseylicious, psych) and finally we just left Sweeney Todd on in the background while we talked and watched youtube videos of Adam Lambert. We had a lot of fun and we even managed to hand out a small amount of candy.

But now it's November. Time for more scarves, tights, and boots. Time for more colorful leaves. Time for warm coffee and toasty bread. I'm excited! Are you?

Boo...

Last night we carved our pumpkins. We couldn't fine the pumpkin carving tools so we tried everything: drills, knives, anything we could find. Nothing worked. We had some tough pumpkins. Finally we found the carving tools and everything went smoothely from there. It took us a while to finish our pumpkins but we enjoyed hot chocolate while we worked! Happy Halloween everyone!

T.G.I.F....

I am so happy it's the weekend. This week has been crazy and emotional and I am so glad that it's over. Not to mention I get Monday off! I'm excited to just get to chill and read and watch movies for three days. Still trying to decide what to do for Halloween. Thinking maybe a movie night??
