White & Orange Pumpkins...

 

My sister and I finished our first set of painted pumpkins for the year. We both wanted to do a pattern in white white orange showing (hers is the chevron, mine is the stripes.) I know the lines could have been cleaner on mine, I think there were some areas where the tape wasn't pressed down enough and the paint seeped through, but I thought they turned out pretty well considering it was our first time trying this method. I actually really love how they came out! We have a few more pumpkins that we are working on. I'll post more soon :)

Full Swing...

 

 Fall is kicking into full swing around here. Leaves are covering the ground, the trees are all sorts of brilliant colors, and we have purchased our pumpkins. Not to mention my love for all things pumpkin and cinnamon flavored is at an extreme. Fall, you grow on me more and more everyday.

We Painted Our Pumpkins...

This year I was inspired by a few bloggers who decided to paint their pumpkins instead of carving them. On Thursday, Maddie and I spent our entire afternoon painting our pumpkins. I love the way they all turned out! I decided to go a little retro with mine, trying a chevron print and polka dots, while Maddie made hers more fairytale like. We both also adore our mini glitter pumpkins! They look so cool! I think we have been converted to painters over carvers!

Valley View...

Yesterday we went as a family to Valley View Farms here in Maryland and enjoyed picking out pumpkins, shopping for Christmas ornaments, and just enjoying the Fall-ness of it all! I picked up two mini pumpkins because they are my favorite! They're just so cute and mini! I also spent too much money on Christmas decorations but what the hey. On our way home we stopped at Starbucks and I got a Pumpkin Spice Frappuccino! Best. Thing. Ever. I know I have talked about my love for pumpkin coffees before but this was literally the best!! The perfect way to end our little trip.

Boo...

Last night we carved our pumpkins. We couldn't fine the pumpkin carving tools so we tried everything: drills, knives, anything we could find. Nothing worked. We had some tough pumpkins. Finally we found the carving tools and everything went smoothely from there. It took us a while to finish our pumpkins but we enjoyed hot chocolate while we worked! Happy Halloween everyone!

Chocolate Chip Pumpkin Cookies...

On Saturday I made one of my favorite Fall things: Chocolate Chip Pumpkin cookies. They didn't even last one day. These cookies are so good that you can't help but go back for more. They are super easy to make and quite an excellent Fall sweet!

Sorry for my lack of blogging everyday. My computer has been down and I have also been going through a lot of stress these past couple of days. But don't worry I already have my next couple of posts planned!

D.C. In The Fall...

My Grandparents are in town this weekend so yesterday we took them to D.C. to show them the Eastern Market. It was a perfect Fall day. All the little houses were decorated with pumkins and all the stands had some to sell. It was a fun time :)
