UGH!!!!

I am going on the record and saying that I hate Itunes!! I mean just because I live in the US why can't I buy music from Canada?!

Sweet Thing's Album came out today.
Of course it was only available in Canada.
Itunes won't let you use a US credit card on Itunes CA.
I wouldn't have been so determined to buy it from Itunes except that if you buy it from them you get all kinds of behind the scenes features and an extra song!
I went out and bought an international visa card thinking that of course it would work...it DIDN'T.
My mom called the card place and they were of no help.
And Itunes tech service wasn't open! Can you believe that?! They close at 5. I wish they could feel my wrath.
I mean what if someone had a serious apple issue late at night!!
So after an hour and a half of failed attempts I realized that I would rather just have the cd without the extras then not have it at all.
Now I will say that I LOVE amazon.
Amazon Canada lets me order from them. Take that Itunes.
So now I am out twenty bucks and the cd will arrive on the 30th at the earliest but at least I got it.

I know it will be worth it.

Well, I hope so at least.

Em

Yum...

I LOVE the wild Maine blueberry syrup from Cracker Barrel. I pocketed what they gave me the other night and have been enjoying every bite of it!

Catch Up...

I know I have been bad about blogging but I have been so busy. Between work, trips over the bridge to Cracker Barrel and the J. Crew Factory store, cleaning and painting my room, seeing my friends star in A Midsummer Nights Dream, late night visits to Safeway, and spontaneous naps I have had no time. So sorry Kristen for taking so long to post this but here it is.
Thursday after work Kristen took me to AACC to show me around the campus. It is so weird to think that I will be going to college next year. I really can't wrap my head around the idea. So after Kristen gave me great tour of the place we headed to lunch.
We went to the B.B. Bistro in Annapolis. I had never been there before and it was so cute! The place was so bright and fun with vintage tables and chairs.
I had a tuna salad sandwich that was really good with a berry tea. Oh and the cole slaw was so good! It had green apples in it!

After lunch we went inside this cute little store that sold home decor and was so chic! I could have bought everything in it! Then we crossed the street and went to The Bead Bungalow to make some jewelry.

Kristen made these great earrings and a bracelet with her and her husband's initials.
And after taking forever to decide I made these earrings.
Hopefully now I will get back into the routine of blogging everyday.

I had so much fun this day! Thanks for taking me around Kristen!

Peace and Love,

Em

Strawberry Cheesecake Cupcakes...

For some reason I was really worried that I was going to mess these up. Turns out I didn't and they tasted great! They were actually super easy to make. I made the cake part at midnight on Sunday and then finished them off with the icing and topping on Monday. So Yummy!!

Next cupcake on the list is the Black Bottom.

Savage Mills and Ellicott City...

Yesterday Alyssa and I had a girls day out. We started off by going to Savage Mills. We walked around and went into all the little shops and then we had lunch at Ram's Head.
It was so nice. We sat there for over an hour and just talked. We hit every subject you could possibly think of. It's great to just let everything out and to have someone that will listen to you and feels the same way.

We walked around some more after lunch and wound up in an antique store looking at vintage LIFE magazines.
While we were looking I said, "If they have a David Cassidy one I am totally getting it." Low and behold the next one I picked up had David Cassidy on the cover.
As we continued to look and I held the magazine in my hand I began to question how much I really needed it. I mean yea it was a really cool thing, but what was I going to do with it? I am trying to be better with not splurging all my money so...
...in the end David went back with all of the other LIFE magazines.
After that Alyssa and I were pretty much done at the Mills but we weren't ready to go home. Alyssa and I are similiar in a lot of ways but one that we found yesterday was that we both are adventerous. We get tired of going to the usual hangouts and we like to discover cool new places. So we hopped in the car with the idea that we would just find somewhere else to go. We drove for a few minutes and Alyssa said, "Hey, do you want to go to Ellicott City?" I jumped at the idea! I had never been there before but had always wanted to go. So we looked up directions and were on our way.

When we got there I was immediately in love with the little town. I could have walked around for hours. Alyssa and I had a limited amount of time but it was long enough for us to check out a good amount of the main street.
First we went into this little french shop that had the cutest little things inside.

After that we hit antique shops, theater/sports shops, dress shops and our favorite Vintage Girls. I could have bought everything inside that store!!
Before we headed home we stopped inside Sweets bakery for iced coffee and cupcakes.

And if that wasn't enough about an hour after we got home we both went to the theater to see Charlie St. Cloud with my sister, Isaac, and some other friends. Alyssa and I both ended up wearing our handmade Zac Efron shirts. The movie was so-so but Zac Efron was gorgeous as always. His eyes alone are unbelieveable.

I had such a great day! Alyssa and I are planning another trip to Ellicott City asap.

Peace and Love,
Em
* Oh and I can't forget to wish Heather a very HAPPY BIRTHDAY! Thanks for being such a good friend and for being the other half of team Franco. I hope you have a wonderful day filled with family and love.

Decisions, Decisions...

So I am making over my room.

Since I am going into my Senior year and will most likely be living at home for the first few years of college I want my room to be a place that I enjoy hanging out in.
I mean it's not bad now, but it doesn't look like an 18 year old lives in it.
I am ready for something a little more chic and grown-up.

My first task is picking out the paint color. Right now I am leaning towards the one on the top right. It's called Gypsy Moth by Martha Stewart. However, when it comes to making final decisions I'm not always the best. Oh well, I am ready for a change. My favorite color will always be plum but I can't deal with it being on my walls anymore.

Peace and Love,
Em
