HOT in DC...

 Last Tuesday Tara and I spent the day galavanting around the Capitol. We enjoyed lunch at the Corner Bakery Cafe and followed it up with lots of walking. It was so hot that we had to take plenty of water breaks and sat down and people watched in some pretty little parks. We ended our day in Dupont Circle with cupcakes and ice cream and a little bit of retail therapy. Could a girl ask for more?

Love Letters...

This Summer I am determined to do a lot of crafting and now I have one craft finished and under my belt! I got the idea for the yarn love letters over at My Sister's Suitcase. (I think it was even one of my top 10 things one week.) I loved this project and am so happy with how it turned out. It took me a while to finish but was really easy to do! I think it will make a great piece to hang on the wall or mix in with other pieces of art!  

Now on to the next project...

I Gotta Feeling...

Last night Kristen, Bryce, and little Dawson came over to hang out. We ate pizza and played Wii the whole time. (Oh, and there were cupcakes involved!) It was such a fun time dancing to Michael Jackson and the Black Eyed Peas, even baby Dawson enjoyed himself. I love hanging out with these guys and love that I have them in my life.

A Day At The Zoo With Cupcakes...

Sarah, Megan, Haylee, and I went to the DC zoo today! I haven't been there since I was really little but we had such a fun time. I was bummed that we went after all of the lights were taken down but getting to watch the pandas eat popsicles was pretty cool too! After we had walked around and seen everything we grabbed a bite to eat in Georgetown and then stopped by Georgetown cupcakes for some treats to take home. I am super excited to try my pumpkin spice cupcake!

Wednesday...

On Wednesday Maddie and I went over to Kristen and Bryce's to hang out. Kristen made homemade chex mix and we watched the Notebook. We also crafted for a while but it was short-lived. It was a really fun time and we hope to do it again soon. Peace and Love,

A Weekend With Dawn...

It was so great having Dawn here for a few days! We ate really good food, stayed up late watching funny movies, gossiped, shopped, and laughed until we cried. It reminded me of all the good times we have had during our weeks together at the beach. Dawn is an interior decorator and I love hanging out with her because we constantly talk about designs and houses and all that good stuff. Not to mention she is a bit of a hippie herself (we bonded over our love for David Cassidy.) I miss her and hope that I will be able to see more of her this summer! We're thinking maybe a spa weekend?!
