Remembering Athens...

While in Europe I took so many pictures that I filled up all my memory cards and had to put some of my images on a computer. Luckily, Alyssa was smart enough to being hers on the trip and I was able to store my photos on there. I just got some from her today of our time in Athens. I thought I would share some of my favorites. There are pictures of buildings I loved, my favorite little gelato place, and the streets of Greece.

Us Baptist Girls...

So as I said this weekend Sarah and I got a lot of Christmas shopping done. It's always good for me to shop with Sarah because she makes me actually think about what I am buying rather then just grabbing it on a whim. Here she is enjoying one of our favorite things: Sweet Tea. We are both southern girls at heart.
The two of us have been through a lot these past couple of weeks but we've stuck in there. I am so thankful to have such a strong and caring friend as Sarah. I know that when I talk to her I have no boundaries, we can talk about anything and everything. I don't think that I have ever gotten annoyed with Sarah during our friendship which is rare among us girls (hope I didn't just jinx anything). I think that the two of us make a good pair. We balance each other out in certain areas and strenghten each other in others.

So thank you Sarah for being my friend. For listening to me gab. And for making me want to be stronger.

Here is a verse that Sarah texted to me last night right before bed. I LOVE it!

"Now listen, you who say, 'Today or tomorrow we will go to this or that city, spend a year there, carry on business and make money.' Why, you do not even know what will happen tomorrow. What is your life? You are a mist that appears for a little while and then vanishes." - James 4: 13-14

Getting In the Christmas Mood...

I walked in the door last night and a bunch of Christmas decorations had been put up! I love this time of year when stores are playing Christmas music and people are out putting lights on their house! I can't wait to get my room all decorated. I just adore everything Christmas. It's all so dreamy!

Card Love...

Today Sarah and I went out to get some of our Christmas shopping done. We had so much fun and I will blog about all of it later. For now I wanted to share with you something cute that I saw today. I saw the above card in Borders today and fell in love with it. It was made by Night Owl Paper Goods. I love all of their cards. They are very retro and many of them are printed on a thin sheet of wood. They have a gorgeous collection of Christmas cards if you are looking. Here are some of my favorites from their store. Peace and Love,

Happy Turkey Day...

I hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving! I woke up and enjoyed and muffin and cup of coffee from Dunkin' Doughnuts while I watched the Macy's Day Parade. I wasn't that impressed this year but Jimmy Fallon rocked it!! I don't know if I've said it before but I love him! He is just the sweetest, funniest, coolest person out there. Ok, enough of my gushing.

It has become a tradition that we spend Thankgiving with my dad's family. Which means there are a lot of people and a lot of food. I stuffed myself with turkey, green bean casserole, sweet potatoes, and a delicious pineapple/sugar/bread thing.

While the girls sat around the tables and talked the boys were boys and gathered around the TV to watch football.
This side of my family is huge into sports so this is what our gatherings normally look like :)

I hope everyone had a lovely day and counted all of the things that they are thankful for. I am thankful for:
-God
-Faith
-Family
-Love
-Life
-Hope

Lovin' Fall...

These past couple of days have been the perfect Fall weather. The air is crisp and chilly! I love it! I have been wearing one of my favorite pairs of boots, my minnetonkas, for days on end. It's the perfect time of year for them!

With all the wind leaves have been falling off the trees left and right. I love seeing all the pretty leaves covering the ground but I hate that all of the trees are growing bare. Now all I have to do is wait for them to be covered in snow.
Gonna spend the rest of my night cuddled up on the couch falling in love with the New Moon and Eclipse soundtracks while Jimmy Fallon makes me laugh :)

Peace and Love,
Em
