The Last Day of November...

November has flown by and I can't believe that December will be here in just a few hours! Have you done any of your Christmas shopping? I would say that I am more than halfway through. I always try to get started early so I don't have a mad rush towards the end. This past week has been a busy one. I had school and work, a doctor's appointment, and work for my internship. I also had the chance to babysit the cutest little boy with my sister and I got to hang out with Tara this afternoon and paint pottery. Sometimes life gets hectic and I don't like the feeling of just letting it all fly by. I really want to try harder to live in each moment and savor everything. One thing that always encourages me is the fact that God is SO good, even when things seem busy or bad. I want to try really hard to love life, even when things seem tough or routine.

And with that, let's welcome December.

Peace and Love,
Em

  1. I am sad to report that I have not done any Christmas shopping. I used to do it super early too, but the older I get, the less exciting the Holidays have become. It kind of makes me sad :( Maybe, if Mark and I had kids, this would change.

I feel that it is so hard to live in the 'here and now' too, but I think it is one of the most important things we can do. I also feel that this is what God wants us to do.

So many people live in or for the past or future...and I think it's unhealthy. We all need to take some advice from the 10 step program...and take it one day at a time...All we have is this moment. Right now. Tomorrow never comes...it will always be today. <3 Ruth <3

  2. Ha ha! You still have plenty of time to get your Christmas shopping done Ruth :)

So true. It's a struggle I have all the time. I just end up taking every minute for granted. It's so important to live in the moment because that's all we have...
