Welcoming Summer...

I am a big believer in list-making. I almost always make a list of things that I want to do each summer and this year I was inspired by James over on Bleubird Blog to make a different kind of list. It includes goals & activities that I want to accomplish over the summer. Sitting down and writing out things that I want to do often motivates me to do them even more. I hope that I spend my summer doing all of these things:

Eating / Fresh fruit, lobster rolls, and gelato.

Drinking / Corona with lime.

Practicing / A calm and loving attitude.

Mastering / Meditation.

Learning / To take deep breaths and to focus on the here and now.

Trying / To take as many photos and videos as possible.

Playing / My guitar. I haven't picked it up in ages and I'm starting to miss it.

Finishing / A summer journal.

Reading / I have about 58 books on my summer reading list. We'll see how that goes...

Remembering / To live each day to the fullest.

Wearing / Beach pants, sundresses, and rompers.

Cooking / Something scrumptious from Martha Stewart Living.

Working / On reading my Bible more often.

Traveling / As much as possible.

Wanting / To be more adventurous.

Peace and Love,
Em

  4. Ah, this makes me so nostalgic for summer! I would love a corona with lime right now. Preferably on a beach. Instead, it's a red wine by the fire night tonight!

  6. 58 books? girl, you are awesome! i am way impressed with you as my personal goal this year was to read a minimum of one book a month. now i feel silly...haha. please share some of your faves! i'm always interested in seeing what people like. i just brewed a cup of french press coffee and i am getting back into bed to crank out the last 20 or so pages of my most recent read. lazy saturday mornings are the best! i like that you're working on reading more of your Bible, too. i am way late to the game with this one but i just downloaded a Bible app for my phone and it is really convenient to have the Word literally at my fingertips. it has helped me read more frequently. i like this list very much!
