Oh, Nashville...

I fall more and more in love with Nashville with each visit and this time was no different. We started off the day with a picnic in Centennial Park. We spent time taking photos and enjoying our view of the Parthenon. After lunch we headed to Broadway to do some sight-seeing and shopping. If you are ever in the Nashville area you need to stop by Earthbound Trading Co. It's the coolest little store with lots of eclectic and bohemian goodies. I could have spent hours shopping there.

After some more shopping we headed to The Frothy Monkey for an afternoon coffee. This place had the coolest vibe to it- I could totally see myself hanging out there all the time. I tried the iced hazelnut white mocha. It tasted like heaven in a cup of coffee- so delicious!! The Frothy Monkey is now on the list of my favorite places in Nashville.

Feeling refreshed and with coffee in hand we headed over to the new Hatch Show Print Shop. Every time I've gone to Nashville in the past 3 years I always make a point to stop at the Hatch Show Print Shop. This place is responsible for making all the raddest posters for concerts and music events that take place around the Nashville area. They sell vintage and one-of-a-kind prints and if you're lucky you'll find something featuring your favorite band or artist. I didn't end up buying anything this time but it's always fun to look around and see what new things they are selling. After the print shop we took a stroll around the Country Music Hall of Fame and went over to Margaritaville to listen to some live music.

Our final around Broadway was to the Ryman. The Ryman is another place that I always visit each time that I come to Nashville. It has such a magical feel to it and I love thinking about all the incredible musicians that have performed there.

After that we headed over to the Hillsboro area. I had never visited this part of town before but I new that there were some pretty cool restaurants and shops there. My cousin first took us to one of her favorites, and now one of mine, Pangaea. How I walked out of this store without buying anything is one of life's great mysteries. They had the coolest collection of jewelry, perfume, home accessories, clothing, stationary, and books. I walked around the store 4 times just to make sure that I saw everything.

We ended our day with dinner at Fido. Fido has been on my list of places to visit in Nashville for a long time and, let me tell you, it did not disappoint. I tried their iced local latte which is a blend of honey, cinnamon, espresso, and milk- heaven! I had the best two cups of coffee that I have ever had in my life in one day in Nashville. I paired my latte with a serving of their buttermilk blueberry pancakes which made for the perfect dinner.

I had a fantastic day with my sister and cousin visiting some new and old favorite places in Nashville. It was so fun becoming more and more familiar with this city. Hopefully, the next time I visit it will be for good :)

Peace and Love,
Em

  3. your trip looks absolutely amazing! so glad you got to go and do some more exploring in your future city. (HOLLER!!) i have always wanted to go to hatch show print shop! i have heard great things. can you see them actually printing things or is it more of a gallery/shop? did you do any apartment/neighborhood hunting while you were there? do you have an idea of what part of the city you want to live? maybe close to one of these amazing coffee shops! haha. that last cup of coffee you described-the honey, cinnamon and milk one sounds so delicious. i've already had three cups today, but i mean...one more couldn't hurt right? somebody cut me off!

    1. Thanks, Lacey! At Hatch Print shop you can actually watch them print things. I think you can even pay for a tour where they let you print something! It's pretty cool! I did do some apartment hunting while I was there and found a few places that I really liked. Since I've been home of done more searching and found some really cool places that I am going to seek out :) I think right now I'm leaning on living right in the heart of Nashville. I figure now's the time for me to live in a big city if any. Ha ha ha, and yes, you can never have too much coffee!
