Stuffed...

On Sunday afternoon my parents and I went on a little adventure in Bethesda. It is one of my favorite places around where I live and I love to go and explore there. While we were there we enjoyed shrimp and lobster rolls at Luke's Lobster Shack. The seafood was so fresh and came straight from Maine. It was delicious! Then some of us had frozen yogurt at Sweetgreen while others had cupcakes from Georgetown Cupcakes. Can you guess which one I chose?

After we ate we walked around a bit and my dad and I headed to one of our favorite places: the bookstore.
We spent quite a bit of time in the 3-level Barnes and Noble. I could spend hours there just looking at books and browsing. I added a few titles to my reading list :)

Finally, before we went home we drove down Oliver Street. I have blogged about Oliver Street before and the lovely houses that are located there. I would love to go inside each one of those houses. I bet they are gorgeous. I'm a sucker for old hardwood floors and tiny details.

What were you up to this weekend? I would love to hear all about it!

The Lights at the Mormon Temple...

On Wednesday night we went as a family to see the 600,000 lights at the Mormon Temple in D.C. It was our first time going but I seriously doubt it will be our last. All of the lights are just gorgeous and walking around to look at them all was just beautiful. After that we drove around Oliver Street and looked at all of the stunning houses lit up and decorated for Christmas. We ended the night with big cups of hot cocoa and marshmallows. It was a really great night with my family and a wonderful holiday outing.

Oliver Street...

Yesterday I had to go to Chevy Chase to do some work for the magazine. Since I can't drive with my vertigo my dad was sweet enough to come along with me (he's the best). I'm glad that he took me because we were able to spend some quality time together. We walked around and looked in some of the stores but on our way home we drove through some of the most gorgeous neighborhoods- my dream neighborhood. I would love to live on Oliver St. The houses are huge but they are also really old and have so much charm and character about them. Plus, it was just a beautiful Fall day and the neighborhoods were just covered in pretty leaves and trees. Also, they have some of the oldest and prettiest churches. I think it's safe to say that Oliver Street has stolen my heart...
