The leaves are changing colors and that means that Fall is in full swing. I'm ready for warm apple cider, pumpkin patches, boots, tights, pumpkin pie, and lots of chilly days!
Sarah and I decided to try out a new restaurant for us for our get together this week. We went to "Lures" and had such a fun time! The food was good, it had a nice atmosphere and most importantly it was just two best friends hanging out. I like having these little "dates" at least once a week. It's a nice break from work and school and I just love this girl to bits!
Today I got to see one of my best friends after two whole months of not seeing her! It was kind of like we hadn't skipped a beat and we just jumped in laughing. I'm glad to know that I still have her around. I have truly missed Suzannie and her "wild" ways. Today I also wore my pink TOMS and fell in love with an owl mug at Home Goods.
It has been a rough couple of days for me. A while back I was diagnosed with cluster migraine headaches, some of which I have had last for weeks. On Thursday night, what I thought was just a little headache turned into something much more than expected. Then Friday I had a horrible reaction to some medication that almost sent me to the hospital. Anyway, the past couple of days I have tried everything: headache meds, sinus pills, even shots but nothing is getting rid of this migraine. All I can do is hope that it will go away soon. Guess it's back to bed for this girl.
After a long week of school a girl's night out for dinner was much needed. Maddie and her best friend and Sarah and I went out to Red, Hot, and Blue. We drank so much sweet tea and ate until we were stuffed and then some. It was one of those nights that you need at least once a week: a lot of laughing, girl talk, and screaming your lungs out to Bon Jovi.
Right when I walked onto campus this morning I found out that my first class of the day was cancelled. I had two whole hours to myself before my next class. I got some work done but for the most part I listened to my iPod and stared at my feet. Then, during my last class of the day all of the power went out and we had to evacuate. People kept saying there was a gas leak and alarms were going off. I was just glad to come home. Oh and I saw my first colored leaf for Fall.
Today was all about Fall Weather, pumpkin pie pop-tarts, dead car batteries, craft supply stores, lemonade, lost and found UPS packages, new iPods, and pi's. Not bad, but maybe not one for the books. Hope everyone had a lovely September 16, 2011!
Zee Avi's new album is so dreamy! It's a perfect little summer record with a light sound. And the coolest things is: the vinyl is clear! She's definitely a hippie and you hear that in her lyrics! Ahhh I LOVE!
Fall is on it's way! I can't wait until I can bundle up in sweaters and scarves. But until then it's the perfect time for wrapping yourself in a warm sweater, baking cookies, and listening to Bon Iver.
