Last week my Aunt came to town and we decided to take a little day trip up to Glen Mills, PA. My mom and I had been dying to go back to Terrain and seeing as my Aunt is an interior decorator we thought that she would love it. I love the drive up to Glen Mills; you get to go through Baltimore and Wilmington and it's just very relaxing to me. It took us about two hours to get there and so we decided to start our little adventure off with lunch. We ate at Harvest and had the most incredible meal. We sat outside and enjoyed the fresh Autumn weather while sharing deserts of pumpkin pie, chocolate peanut butter cake, and oreo cake.
After lunch we headed down to Terrain. I've talked about it before but it is really a magical place. They had so many gorgeous pumpkins and Autumnal displays that it really got me in the mood for Fall! Mom & I picked up a few pumpkins for the house and then we all spent some time shopping around. It was so fun to just go around and look at all of the displays and get inspired.
After a few hours at Terrain we decided to go down the street to Homegoods. My Aunt, Mom, & I are obsessed with decorating so you can only assume that we were going to do some damage here. Plus, this particular Homegoods is like the mothership; it is so huge and is combined with a Marshall's. I didn't end up buying anything but my mom and my aunt walked away with some goodies. Our final stop was to Starbucks for coffees for the drive home. I had my first Pumpkin Spice Latte of the season and it was the perfect ending to our Fall day.
It was such a great trip! I had such a fun time with my mom & aunt and it was so nice to just relax and have fun without worrying about work or anything else. I hope that there are more days like this to come!
Peace and Love,
Em

DeleteGreat pictures, Em of our day @ Terrain's and all points in between! Thanks for planning such a wonderful day for my visit. I just got back from the farmer's market with some great looking pumpkins for my front porch. I got 3 different colors/types which I plan on stacking one on top of each other. And last weekend, I planted some brightly colored mums. I'll send you a picture when I have it all done. Take care and I love you, madly! Aunt Dawn
ReplyDeleteThis absolutely looks like a perfect fall day! I love all the colors and smells these days - such crisp air with hints of dry leaves and pie spices...
