I want to start off by thanking all of you who sent sweet birthday wishes my way on Tuesday! Each and everyone of them put a smile on my face and I feel so blessed. 

I had a fabulous Birthday! I started celebrating a little early on Saturday when I went out with my best friend for dinner and shopping (and salted caramel pudding!). Then on my actually birthday I woke up to balloons and a card from my parents. My sister also bought me a whole slew of LUSH products that I am beyond excited to use! Later that day my family and I drove out to Reston, VA to do some shopping and have dinner. We ate at Coastal Flats and it was absolutely delicious! The day ended on a perfect note as we enjoyed cupcakes from Crumbs Bake Shop. 

Everyone says that we you get older birthdays aren't fun anymore but I still love birthdays. It's not about big gifts or parties but it's more the little gestures that make the day special. So thanks to everyone who made my birthday special. I am excited about this chapter in my life (I mean c'mon, it's my Taylor Swift year!).

21...

Well, I am officially into my 21st year! I sort of can't believe it. I just wanted to thank everyone for the special birthday messages and wishes I received! They meant the world to me! I had a beautiful birthday with such lovely weather. I couldn't have asked for more.

My Sister's Birthday...

 My sister officially turned 17 on Thursday. We started the day off right with sister manicures and had a great time talking and getting pampered. My sister is pretty chill so we relaxed most of the day but ended her birthday with dinner and old home movies. Oh, and I cant forget the Cheesecake we had!! So yummy!!

Surprise...

 It's always been on my bucket list to have a surprise party and now I can check that one off. What I thought was turning out to be a weird night out with a friend turned into a surprise 20th birthday party for me with all my closest gals. I don't know how they pulled it off but my sister and best friend had apparently been planning this for months. All I can say is that I truly was shocked! Every single detail was perfect! They had polka dot plates, my favorites drinks, cupcake balloons...everything! All I can say is that I am so thankful and blessed for the friends I have. I have to give a big thank you to Sarah and Maddie. I was so touched that they would go through all of that trouble just for me. It really made me see how much they care about me and what great people they are and how lucky I am to have them in my life. Thanks gals for a great party!

Ted's And A Bummer...

Last night we went out to Ted's Bulletin for my birthday dinner. I was so happy that I got to have my favorite peanut butter, banana, and chocolate milkshake! After dinner we strolled around Barracks row and stopped inside a few shops. It was quite a lovely time. 

On the other hand, I can't find the battery charger for my camera. This really bums me out because I want to experiment so badly with the new lens that I got for my birthday. Also, because of that I am drawing blanks on what to post on the blog until I can find it. Maybe I will just have to gig win and order a new one. Either that or there will just be a lot of instagram posts for a while :)

The Sun Is Shining...

Today has been absolutely gorgeous out!! I even took the time after work to go outside and get a couple of pictures by our neighbor's beautiful pink blossom tree. I am just a bit in love with it. Our trees only have white blossoms.

Today was also a great day for mail!!!!

Frist, my polka dot and chevron tape from Etsy arrived! Doesn't it just make you happy?!!

Then my birthday card came from Anthropologie. This is one of the best things that I get in the mail each year. Their cards are always so cute and inventive. And this year in addition to my birthday discount I also got a little bracelet that says "It's Me Time!" How adorable is that?

Finally, you all need to listen to "Can't Go Back" by Rosi Golan. I heard it last night on "The Vampire Diaries" and downloaded it right away. Even as I am typing this I have it on repeat.

Birthday Wish List...

My birthday is just about a month away! My mom has been asking me to give a couple things that I would love to see on my birthday so I thought I would share my little wish list.

1+2: New Vinyl! Really want Ben Kweller's most recent album and the new First Aid Kit record.

3: Annie Hall and Manhattan are out on blu-ray!! Would love either of these!

2 Things...

First of all, there's nothing cuter than when Mel crosses her legs when she is asleep! So darling! Lately she has really been living up to her nickname "Melly Mischief." She loves chewing on left over boxes and wrapping paper from Christmas.

Second, today is my best friend's birthday!! Sarah, I hope you have a wonderful birthday filled with love and fun. Thank you for being such a dear friend to me!

Happy Birthday Daddy...

I love my daddy so much and today is his birthday. I love watching baseball games with him. I love watching him get all excited when a Clint Eastwood movie is on.
